No Special Treatment

Posted: February 22, 2011 in Equal Rights

So, some of you may have heard of the recent cases of porn studio Corbin Fisher suing those who download their products illegally.

While I admit, Corbin Fisher and their owning company Liberty Media are vile pieces of filth, they’re porn studios, what can you expect?

What it ultimately comes down to, is groups such as “Unicorn Booty” are demanding special treatment for gay teens. Gay teens who have committed crimes – not just by illegally downloading the videos, but also just by viewing and possessing the videos, which are illegal for minors. Had a straight teen committed these same acts, they would get no special treatment, rather be held accountable for their actions.

I’ll give UB some credit – sometimes for gay youth, gay porn is their first real exposure to the gay world. Rather than defending them downloading this porn, however, would efforts not be better spent creating an actual positive view of gay life for these teens? Having them rely on porn to learn about themselves cannot possibly be good for their mental state. Furthermore, with a simple google search capable of plethora of free porn sources, there is no real excuse for stealing porn from pay-sites.
